Welcome to Polaris Global News (the “Site,” “we,” or “us”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of polarisglobalnews.com and any associated mobile or desktop applications. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or legal guardian’s permission to use the Site and that they have read and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; see our Privacy Policy.

2. Your account

Some features (commenting, personalization, newsletters) require a free account. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for any activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms, that appear to be automated, or that have been inactive for an extended period. We will give reasonable notice where practical.

3. Our content

All articles, photos, video, audio, illustrations, and other editorial material on the Site (“Content”) are owned by Polaris Global News or licensed to us by their creators. The Content is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

You may read, print, and share single copies of articles for your personal, non-commercial use, and link to articles from social-media posts and personal websites. You may not:

• republish, sell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit our Content without prior written permission;
• scrape, mirror, or systematically reproduce the Site or any substantial portion of it;
• train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models on our Content without a written license from us;
• remove or alter copyright notices, bylines, or other attributions.

4. Your contributions

When you submit a comment, tip, photo, video, or any other content to us (“Submissions”), you keep your copyright but grant Polaris Global News a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display the Submission in any media now known or later developed, in connection with the Site, our journalism, and our archives.

You represent that you own the rights to your Submission, that it does not infringe anyone’s intellectual-property or privacy rights, and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge. We may edit Submissions for clarity, length, or compliance with these Terms, and may decline to publish them at our discretion.

5. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• harass, threaten, defame, or impersonate any person or organization;
• post content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, or that incites violence;
• interfere with the Site’s operation, including denial-of- service attempts, vulnerability scanning without our written authorization, or attempts to defeat our security measures;
• transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code;
• use the Site for commercial solicitation, spam, or chain letters;
• access non-public areas of the Site, our systems, or our partners’ systems without authorization.

6. Third-party links and services

The Site contains links to third-party websites, embedded media (e.g. YouTube, social-media posts), and third-party tools (e.g. analytics, sign-in providers). We do not control these services and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or availability. Their terms apply when you use them.

7. Editorial corrections

We strive for accuracy. If you spot an error, please tell us at polarisworldnews@gmail.com or through the form linked from our Corrections page. Material corrections are noted on the article and dated.

8. Disclaimers

The Site and Content are provided “as is” and “as available.”We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that defects will be corrected, or that the Content is complete, accurate, or current. Information is for general informational purposes and is not legal, financial, medical, or professional advice. Decisions you make based on the Content are your own.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Polaris Global News, its owners, employees, and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site shall not exceed the greater of (a) USD 100 or (b) the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Site and close your account at any time by emailing polarisworldnews@gmail.com. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if continued access poses a risk to other users or to us. Sections 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 12, and 13 survive termination.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and material changes will be announced on the Site or via email if you have an account. Continuing to use the Site after the change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Polaris Global News is registered, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
