When we make a mistake, we fix it on the record.
How corrections appear
A factual error, once verified, is corrected in the article and noted at the bottom under Corrections. The original wording, the nature of the error, and the date and time of the correction are recorded. We do not silently edit published stories.
Reporting an error
Email the URL of the story and a brief description of the issue to corrections@pgnews.com. Where possible, please include a primary source.
Updates vs. corrections
New developments in a running story are added as Updates, with a timestamp. Corrections, in contrast, address something that was wrong when it was first published.
